Frequently Asked Questions
Everything new patients want to know before their first visit.
No. Tennessee is a direct access state, which means you can start physical therapy at NeuMotion without a physician referral. We’ll coordinate with your doctor if needed.
Bring your insurance card, a photo ID, any relevant imaging (X-rays, MRI reports), a list of current medications, and comfortable clothing that allows access to the area being treated.
Initial evaluations usually take 45–60 minutes. Follow-up visits are typically 30–45 minutes, depending on your treatment plan.
Yes. We work with most major insurance providers. We also offer transparent self-pay rates if you’re uninsured or prefer not to use insurance. Contact us and we’ll verify your benefits before your first visit.
Every patient is different. After your initial evaluation, your therapist will give you a realistic estimate based on your condition, goals, and how your body responds to treatment.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. For lower body conditions, athletic shorts are ideal. For shoulder or upper back issues, a tank top or loose t-shirt works best.
Some discomfort is normal, especially early on. We work within your tolerance and adjust as needed. You should never feel sharp or severe pain — always communicate with your therapist.
